The Schools
The Bon Repos team offer educational workshops for primary through to high school students.
Two themes can be developed:
- The Cistercian Environment
- The Construction of the Site
After a guided tour of the Abbey and the viewing of a film, students will carry out some excercises with the help of a teaching pack and various other media forms to explore:
- construction of the buildings (tools, methods)
- teaching model
- virtual reconstruction in 3D

A number of aides will be used to assist the children in their work
- a video projector
- smart board, interactive whiteboard....
The proposed workshops are:

These workshops allow the children to discover the Abbey through the everyday lives of the Cistercians, using a smart-board and video projection in a specially equipped area. The tariff of 2.50€ includes the guided tour and the workshop. The workshops are run by a qualified instructor.
Amenities and facilities :
- Educational activities approved by the Education Inspectorate
- Approval from the Jeunesse et de l'Education populaire (Youth and Sport)
- Possibility of an indoor hall for a picnic in connection with the proposed activities at the Abbey

The team at Bon Repos Abbey want you to come and see this monument…
Come and meet the team. By using new technologies, building models and looking for clues as an adventure, they will help you discover the abbey through a tour, models and game play. The smartboard and virtual reconstruction of the monument in 3 sizes all help you to travel back in time........
